Pulitzer Prize: history

In his will, publisher Joseph Pulitzer provided funding to create the Pulitzer Prize. The prize for history is designed to recognize "a distinguished and appropriately documented book on the history of the United States." Such a prize has been awarded annually since 1917, with very few exceptions. There were two winners in 2022.
