Ruth Lilly Prize: poetry

Established in 1986 by the American philanthropist for whom it is named, the Ruth Lilly Poetry Prize is awarded annually by the Poetry Foundation to honor a living U.S. poet. The award is one of the world's richest literary prizes, and one of the most prestigious poetry awards. Breaking with tradition, 11 prizes were awarded in 2022.
